LO1: Prelim task for college magazine

This is the magazine I will use for inspiration when creating a pastiche of a college magazine front cover.


 
















This is the flatplan of my pastiche college magazine front cover.

  To make this college magazine I will be using Adobe Photoshop. The resolution is set to 300 because that is the apropriate resolutionb usually used for printing out graphics.

Here I am using photoshop to change the colour of the Mast Stead.

Here I am using rulers to get the correct measurements for my Mast Stead.

 

 This is my magazine cover for the prelim task. Using photoshop I learnt how to Anchor text so it is clear what the text belongs to. I also edited the text to include things like a glow, outline and drop shadow so they stand out more from the background.

I also learnt to use the magic lasso tool to cut out specific parts of an image accurately. For the picture of Alex I again used a dark glow to make him stand out and so he blended in with the foreground better.
